Google tightens its checks on fake reviews
Google has announced that it will pursue fake reviews and review farms more consistently. Profiles that work with purchased reviews now risk a clearly visible warning on the business profile and, in the worst case, a temporary suspension of new reviews.
For honestly operating businesses that's good news: reports about obvious fake profiles are, in our experience, processed faster, and the success rate for well-documented cases has risen in recent weeks.
At the same time: anyone who buys reviews or specifically asks only satisfied customers for a review now risks more than before. We strongly advise against it.
